EPISODE TWO
This week’s story is called The Moustache and it is written by the famous American author, Robert Cormier. The story is set in America, something that becomes obvious when you listen to the language used in the narration. It’s a tale about a teenager named Mike who grows a moustache, despite his mother’s wishes, to make himself look older. However, he is in for an unforgettable and tear-jerking surprise when he visits his grandmother who is being cared for in a nursing home.
EPISODE ONE
This week’s story is called Shredni Vashtir and it is by the famous author, Saki also know as HH Munroe. It is a dark tale about a boy who is in the care of a cruel older cousin, Mrs de Ropp. The boy, Conradin, whose prized possession is a pole cat ferret (a type of ferret with a vicious bite) plans a rebellion in private. Listen to the story and decide for yourself who is to blame for the outcome of events!
