Kishoge is currently working towards our Biodiversity Flag.
The committee have completed a series of activities to achieve this flag

Travel
Kishoge CC achieved our Travel Flag in 2023
The committee have completed a series of activities to achieve this flag
· Presenting information to the whole school body at monthly assemblies
· Reminding teachers and students to walk, cycle and carpool safely to school.
· Bike Week Sept 2021
· “Pimp my helmet” workshops
· “Walk on Wednesday’s” where all Kishoge students are invited to walk to school every Wednesday in order to reduce our school’s carbon footprint! Remember the Safe Cross Code:
One - look for a safe place
Two - don’t hurry, stop and wait
Three - look all around and listen before you cross the road
Four - let all the traffic pass you
Five - then walking straight across
Six - keep watching.
Litter and Waste
Kishoge C.C. achieved the Green Flag for Litter and Waste in May 2017. To continue our work in this field, the Green-School's committee has:
· Designed, supplied and sold Kishoge C.C. reusable water bottles for €2
· Completed school clean-ups
· Completed a review of the canteen on waste management.
· Promoted whole-school recycling through segregated bins in student areas and staffroom
Water
Kishoge C.C achieved the Green Flag for Water in May 2021.
To continue our work in this field, the Green School’s committee has:
· Completed a water and leak audit
· Water Week April 2021
· Promoted whole-school awareness through student and teacher competitions
· Spread awareness to the whole school body at monthly assemblies and by our noticeboard
